Vastu Guidelines for Balcony
A platform surrounded by railing and is projected from the wall, on any floor, of the building and is surrounded by a railing is known as Balcony. It is usually attached and accessed from the Bedroom. It is meant for relaxing. It may or may not have a roof.
Here the guidelines for the Balcony explained as per vaastu. Since, the guidelines explained here will enable us to be ready for the time-consuming task of construction of a House. As Vaastu is a science, there is logic and reasoning behind every guideline. As a Vaastu Expert, I have attempted to explain these guidelines rationally and scientifically, so that you can decide what you want to follow and what you don’t.
SUITABLE LOCATIONS FOR A BALCONY AS PER VAASTU
As per vaastu the Balconies should projecting from the East or North part of the house only. They should not be to the South or the West sides of the main building.
OTHER GUIDELINES FOR A BALCONY AS PER VAASTU
As per vaastu the heavy furniture and seating should be placed only in west, south or South-West part of the Balcony.
If we are using a swing in the balcony, it should be placed in the East-West axis only.
As per vaastu small plants can be placed in any where except center, south or south-west parts.
It is recommended that we keep only pots of small flower or plants in the Balcony.
As per vaastu the height of the Balcony roof, if any, should be less than the roof of the main building.
VAASTU GUIDELINES FOR UPPER FLOORS
In multi-level houses, there are Upper Floors constructed above the ground floor. These floors are reached through the Staircase. The Upper Floors are generally used for private spaces like Bedrooms, Study rooms and Family rooms.
Here the guidelines for the Staircases are explained as per vaastu. Since, the guidelines explained here will enable us to be ready for the time-consuming task of construction of a House. As Vaastu is a science, there is logic and reasoning behind every guideline. As a Vaastu Expert, I have attempted to explain these guidelines rationally and scientifically, so that you can decide what you want to follow and what you don’t.
VAASTU SPECIFICATIONS FOR UPPER FLOORS
As on of the basic principle of vaastu the south-west should be heavier. Hence if there is only a part upper floor, then it should be in the South-West area.
If there are multiple floors then the bedrooms and study room should be in the Upper floors.
The upper floor should be used for either living or is used for storage only light storage should be done. Avoid heavy storage in upper floors.
Maximum number of doors and windows should be in the North and East sides of the Upper floors.
Maximum open space should be left towards North, North-East and East.
If Balconies are required in the Upper floors, they should be in the North, East or North-East.
As per vaastu the number of doors or windows on the upper floor should be less than that in the ground floor or lower flower. With increase in floor level the door and windows count should decrease.
